- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation: Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the most current Federal Acquisition Circular. The applicable North American Industry Classification is 424910 : small business size standard is 100 employees. Product Information The intent of this solicitation is to obtain quotes to purchase a guaranteed quantity of herbicide chemicals for two deliveries to the Helena Ranger District, Helena, MT. Since limited quantities can be stored on the Forest Service site, we require delivery by July 7 and July 28, 2010. Delivery location is 2001 Poplar Street, Helena, MT. 59601. Delivery is F.O.B. Destination. Please provide company quote for the following: Picloram 200 Gal. Overdrive 50 lbs. 2,4-D 100 Gal Telar 10 lbs. Aminopyralid 10 Gal. Marker Dye Super Concentrate 25 Gal. Imazapic 20 Gal. Above to be shipped in 2.5 gallon containers for the liquid and to round out orders can be one gallon. For granular products, 16 oz. bottles and round out to an 8 oz. bottle if needed. No obligation exists until Government signs a purchase order with your company. Orders can only be made by Purchase Order therefore vendors must be current in the Central Contractor Registration and ORCA (on-line reps and certs). Offers shall include DUNS # and TAX ID #. Contractor is required to be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database before award. General Information The intent of this contract is to purchase herbicides authorized in the 2006 Weed EIS on the Helena National Forest. A. All chemicals required under this project, such as herbicides, marking dye, and surfactants shall be made available. B. Certified Dealers must meet the Montana Department of Agriculture Dealer requirements, including packaging and shipping requirements. C. Herbicides compounds may be substituted for generic versions as long as the active ingredients represent the same formulations as the brand names. Examples of generic brands include but are not limited to 2,4-D, and Clopyralid. Marker dyes and surfactants also may be substituted for a generic version following the same criteria identified above. D. Shipments will be received in no less than two shipments, preferably in July and August. The second shipment will be ordered from the Forest with approximately 2 to 4 weeks advance notice. Shipments will be delivered to the Helena Ranger District, 2001 Poplar St., Helena, MT 59601. E. Quantities in liquid formulation shall be delivered in a 2.5 gallon container unless the remaining quantity is not equal to 2.5 gallons. Dry formulations shall be delivered in 1 to 2 lb. increments.
