- The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Augusta GA, VISN 7, contemplates negotiation of a sole source procurement with Comcast Cable, 105 River Shoals Parkway, Augusta GA to provide access to and use of optic cable installed between the VA Medical Center, downtown from point to point. This is a renewal contract as Comcast has territorial rights. The period of performance for this procurement will be July 1, 2010 through June 31, 2011. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 515210 with a size standard of $15.0 million. This Notice of Intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, the government will consider all proposals received within 3 days after publication of this synopsis. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability by submitting literature, detailing how their products/services meet VA requirements, to the Contracting Officer by fax 478-274-5588. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
