Description
The U.S. Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center, Small Boat Product Line, has a requirement to procure Travel Lift inspection and repair services. The work is to be conducted on the following equipment; Make: Marine Travelift Unit#: 11015 Capacity: 77,000 LBS Model#: 35BFM Serial#: 2834699 Work will be performed on site at USCG SFO Southwest Harbor, ME. The contractor shall perform the following on the Marine Travel Lift; 1) Seal all splice joints to prevent water from entering joint 2) Clean and paint all rusty areas 3) Foam fill all tires 4) Perform all Planned Maintenance on unit per OEM specs. 5) Replace all wire rope. 6) Replace all top sheaves. 7) Replace Sheave Bearings 8) Replace all Hydraulic Rubber hoses. 9) Maintain reports on all repairs, maintenance, and inspection made to unit. Parts: $ Loaded Labor Rate: $ # Of Labor Hours: $ Estimated Travel: $ Final Inspection: $ Load Test: $ Labor rate identified will be the rate charged for any incidental repairs not otherwise identified in this notice. The contractor shall provide an inspector accredited by the United States Department of Labor to inspect, test, and report the condition of weight handling equipment. Contractor shall be required to provide a copy of certificate with their quotation. Contractor shall also be required to provide at least three past performance references to confirm familiarity and experience with repairing Marine Travelift equipment. All responsible sources are welcome to submit a quotation, which, if timely received, shall be considered by the Agency. The closing date for receipt of quotes is June 28, 2010. There are no related specifications and drawings available. This acquisition is being solicited as a Total Small Business set-aside. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 811310. The successful offeror is required to perform at least 51 percent of the contract, not including the cost of materials, with its own employees.
