- Arcata Associates, Inc. intends to negotiate as an emergency on a sole make andmodel basis as all or none, with Value Added Resellers (VARs) of Adtec to procure AdtecAudio/Video Codec equipment and support to replace end of life (EOL) and failingequipment in support of the Russia ProjectArcata Associates, Inc. intends to purchase these items from Value Added Resellers (VARs)of Adtec pursuant to FAR 6-302-2 which implements the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (2)for acquisition of a specific make, model, under unusual and compelling urgency thatwould result in serious (financial or other) injury to the GovernmentInterested firms have until June 28, 2010 2:00 PM CDST to submit in writing to theidentified point of contact, the attached Request for Quote, and all associated paperwork per the special instructions. Responses received after June 28, 2010 2:00 PM CDSTwithout the required information will be considered non responsive to thesynopsis/solicitation and will not be considered. A determination by Arcata Associates,Inc. to not compete this proposed effort on a full and open cost competitive basis,based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of ArcataAssociates, Inc. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested per theattached Request for Quotation (RFQ), and includes complete description and part numberstogether with Representation and Certifications, and Arcata Associates, Inc. Terms andConditions and all attachments must be completed in order for consideration.It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor this Internet site for the release of anyamendments, and clarifying questions and answers. For subscribers to the WWW who wish toobtain the relevant documents covering this synopsis, please access said information athttp://procurement.nasa.gov as no hardcopy will be provided by this office.
