- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-41. The solicitation number is Q9504100017, and the solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This solicitation is a small business set -aside. Responsible small businesses concerns are encouraged to submit a quotation. The NAICS code is 334513 with an associated small business size standard of 500 employees'. It is the contractor's responsibility to be familiar with applicable clauses and provisions. Clauses and provisions can be found at http://www.arnet.gov/far. This solicitation will result in an award of a firm, fixed-price contract. Vendors note that firm fixed price contract in this context means a purchase order with a not-to-exceed amount. Notification of any changes will be made as modifications to this announcement. To receive an award, vendor must maintain a current registration at www.ccr.gov. The National Park Service, Olympic National Park has a requirement for a single contractor to provide 4 Brand Name or Equal, "YSI Inc." datasonde systems as stated below. "Or Equal" means the system must be capable of meeting the key features listed. This solicitation is for supply and delivery only - no installation required. Key Features: 1) All units must be able to measure pH, dissolved oxygen, salinity, and conductivity 2) All units must be able to be deployed in the field for at least a month and be able to record and store measurements every half-hour 3) All units must have anti-fouling technology that inhibits the settlement and growth of organisms on the exposed instrument surfaces. 4) All units must have wiped-pH probes... that is the pH probe has a wiper that periodically cleans the surface of the probe allowing for accurate measurements over the course of deployment 5) At least one of the units must be capable of operating down to a depth of 175 meters so that it can serve as a backup to our datasonde fleet for working in Lake Crescent. 6) All units must be capable of being programmed and downloaded in the field by means of a hand-held data display module. Delivery: F.O.B. Destination to Olympic National Park, Port Angeles, WA. Preferred delivery days are Tuesday through Thursday between 8am and 3pm, Pacific Daylight Time. Note: The Government reserve the right to reject any material not satisfactory condition to perform the task, at the government's receiving person's discretion.
