- SPECIFICATION FOR PRECIPITATION GAUGES. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTIFICATION. This announcement is for information and planning purposes only. This is a market research tool to determine the availability of sources prior to issuing the RFP. The United States Department of Agriculture, Natural Resources Conservation Service Oregon is trying to identify potential small businesses, veteran owned businesses, service disabled veteran owned businesses, small disadvantaged businesses, HUBzone businesses, small disadvantaged businesses (SBA) capable of providing and manufacturing the following: 2- 16’ precipitation gauge 2- 12’ precipitation gauge 6- Windshields for the precipitation gauge Precipitation gauges must be built in accordance to the attached blue prints. The principle place of delivery is FOB Destination to the following address: USDA/NRCS Snow Surveys 463 Perimeter Way, Troutdale, OR 97060 These gauges need to be constructed in such a fashion, that they can be transported from the warehouse facility to the site locations by a number of means, including people, and helicopter sling loads. These precipitation gauges will be located in very remote places and will need to be easily installed with no other equipment than hand tools. This Market Survey is for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP). This market survey is not to be construed as a commitment by the US Government. All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the government. The Government reserves the right to reject, in whole or in part, any private sector input as a result of this market survey.
