- The previously posted presolicitation notice posted 9 June 2010 is amended to include the following. The Indianapolis VAMC currently has DVRs, servers hosting security system software and control panels that are currently covered under warranty by Siemens Industry. The new Proximity Card Controlled Access and CCTV System must be fully compatible with and integrated into the existing security system. In order to integrate into the existing system, the contractor for the proposed project must modify the as-built configuration of the previously mentioned security system components, which would make the current warranties null and void unless performed by Siemens Industry, Inc. The physical security system components provided by Siemens Industry, Inc. are under active warranties, which cover technical support and onsite repair. Uniform security system installation by Siemens Industry, Inc. would facilitate a safe and secure environment through comprehensive system diagnosis and efficient resolution of technical issues and it is in the best interest of the Government if the multiple security system component warranties were to remain valid for the full duration of their contractually obligated term. The date/time that the Government shall consider all proposals and information has been extended to receipt by 10:00 AM Eastern Daylight Time 28 June 2010. Information received shall be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether a competitive procurement is a viable option. No solicitation document exists and no telephone inquiries shall be accepted. Information can be sent to the Department of Veterans Affairs, R.L.
