- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command intends to negotiate and award a sole source order under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA), N00421-06-G-0006, to Rockwell Collins, 400 Collins Road NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52496-0001 for incorporation of updated Navigation Performance Area Navigation (RNP RNAV) software; Terrain Awareness Warning System (TAWS) software; Mode 5 Level 2 software; and integration of updated cryptographic hardware functionality necessitated by the upgraded software. The aforementioned upgrades will be installed in the VH-60N Cockpit Upgrade Program (CUP) Helicopters. Rockwell Collins is the only source capable of providing this effort due to the proprietary nature of the CUP core software. Additionally Rockwell Collins is the original equipment manufacturer of the cryptographic hardware and the Government does not have rights to the data that requires updating. Numbered Note 22.
