- Description
- W9128F-10-M-G024; GAVINS POINT PROJECT, LOCATED NEAR YANKTON, SD; POC CURTIS BISGARD 402-667-2565; COMPLETION DATE 30 SEP 2010 1. Description. The anodes shall be extruded magnesium rods with a steel wire core. The magnesium rods shall be 1.312 inches in diameter with a tolerance of +0.00 inches and -0.02 inches. The anodes shall be held to a straightness of 0.040 inches in any two foot length. The steel wire core shall be 1/8 inch diameter and centrally located to within 1/16 inch of center. 2. Composition. The anodes shall conform approximately to the following composition limits: Aluminum5.3 to 6.7% Manganese0.15% Min. Zinc2.5 to 3.5% Silicon0.10% Max. Copper0.02% Max. Nickel0.002% Max. Iron0.003% Max. The anodes shall be manufactured by a company regularly engaged in the manufacture of this type product. 3. Quantity. Base Bid: Contractor shall supply 198 rods that are 145 inches long AND Contractor shall supply 54 rods that are 121 inches long. Option Bid: Contractor shall supply an additional 198 rods that are 145 inches long AND Contractor shall supply an additional 54 rods that are 121 inches long. 4. Delivery. Prices shall included delivery of the anodes to the Gavins Point Powerhouse, 55245 Highway 121, Crofton, NE 68730. Delivery shall be within 10 weeks of contract award. Deliveries will only be accepted Monday through Thursday between the hours of 6:00am and 4:30pm.
