- RFQ MAP SOW This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice and in accordance with the simplified acquisition procedures authorized in FAR Part 13. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The office of NOAA Southwest Fisheries Science Center (SWFSC) located in La Jolla, CA has a requirement for a commercial fishing vessel to conduct longline survey for thresher sharks in Southern California. Longline sampling days will be for a total of 18 days to be performed between Aug 15 to Nov 15, 2010. See detailed statement of work for a complete description of services and vessel requirements. The Government intends to negotiate a firm fixed price contract with the period of performance commencing approximately from Aug 15, 2010 through Nov 15, 2010 with no option periods. This procurement is 100% set aside for small business concerns under the North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) 487210 with a corresponding size standard of $7.0M. All interested parties must respond to this announcement within fifteen (15) calendar days of its publication. This is a simplified acquisition with estimated value of less than $100,000.00. The following provisions and clauses shall apply to this solicitation and resultant award.
