- Description
- The Naval Medical Logistics Command has a continuing requirement for athletic trainer services at Naval Medical Center, Portsmouth, VA. This need will be satisfied by a sole source bridge to contract N62645-05-C-4126 to extend services of the firm-fixed price, personal services contracts for a period of three months. Award will be made to incumbent contractor, Functional Human Performance on a firm-fixed price small purchase order. Services are required for the period 05 July 2010 through 30 September 2010. This company is the only known contractor that can provide continuity of care via the three-month period of performance with health care workers already trained and familiar with hospital procedures. The lead-time required for an alternate contractor to recruit and hire a replacement staff does not exist prior to the required 05 July 2010 start date. Interested parties may identify their capability to respond to this requirement in a proposal to this office by 2:00 pm, EDST, on Tuesday, 29 June 2010, by email to Acquisitions@med.navy.mil (reference code 024M in subject line) or telefaxed to 301-619-6793. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
