- Description
- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Epidemiology and Applied Research Branch Division of Cancer Prevention and Control intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Elsevier, Inc., 3251 Riverport LN, Maryland Heights, MO 63043-4816. The selected vendor will provide: The vendor will perform the following tasks: 1) Conduct a scientific peer review of CDC/NCCD/DCPC submitted manuscripts, 2) Perform initial editorial services of the manuscripts, and 3) Final layout of the articles. The vendor shall also provide 333 copies of 2010 supplement on Melanoma to the CDC. Elsevier is the only contractor that can perform all the requirements of this task because they are the contracted publisher to the JAAD. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however, any firm that believes it is capable of meeting, or exceeding the requirement as stated herein may submit a capabilities statement detailing their capability to include past performance information, which will be considered only if received by response deadline contained in this notice. Email capability statements by the deadline to Priscilla B. Turner at pgt5@cdc.gov. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
