- Description
- This solicitation is for one (1) each Type 6 fire apparatus, Model 643u cab and chassis. The Chassis is to be provided by the contractor. The unit and all components are to be in new condition and conform to the National Fire Protection Association Pamphlet No. 1906 latest edition. A complete copy of the specification will be included with the solicitation. All fluid levels will be filled to appropriate levels and machine will be fully operable upon delivery with operator's and service manuals. Training to be provided at the factory for Forest Service personnel with Government pick up at this location. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 336112 with a small business size standard of 1,000 employees. This is a 100% set-aside for small business. Solicitation to be posted by 24 Jun 2010. This procurement falls under the test program for certain commercial items, FAR 13.5. Contractors should pay close attention to the deadlines to submit information required to gain access for site visit included in the solicitation. Offerors must register on the site in order to receive notification of changes to the solicitation. The offeror is responsible for monitoring this site for release of the solicitation and any subsequent postings. All interested parties must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) as prescribed by FAR Clause 52.204-7 and ORCA.
