Description
THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION. The Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is seeking sources capable of performing the requirements necessary for the electronic (meteorological) technician support for a radio telemetry system located at the Idaho National Laboratory (INL) and surrounding communities. The Government is especially interested in responses from SBA certified small business concerns that are capable of performing the work described within this notice. The work shall require the following: (1) Semi-annual calibration and maintenance of radio telemeter system located at the INL and surrounding communities. (2) Maintain and repair, as required, meteorological radio telemetry system. (3) Maintain and repair Radar profiler and RASS system at the NOAA GRID III on the INL. (4) Maintain and repair Sodar at the NOAA GRID III area, INL. (5) Maintain and repair radio repeater and antenna at Jumpoff Peak. (6) Tower installation and repair as needed. (7) Knowledge and experience with service & repair of Extreme turbulence Probe and Tracer Gas Analyzers. Multiple award Firm-Fixed-Price contracts are anticipated. Contract performance will be a base period of one year, with four one-year option periods for a possible total duration of five years. The NAICS code for this requirement is 811219 and the small-business size standard is $7.0 million. The Federal Supply Classification (FSC) Code is R421. The Government anticipates awarding a Firm-Fixed-Price services contract for the work. This request for information does not constitute a commitment, implied or otherwise, that a procurement action will be issued. Nor does this request for information constitute a commitment, implied or otherwise that any procurement action that may be issued for the Government's requirements related electronic (meteorological) technician support - radio telemetry system at the INL. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of the submission of contractor's information. The Government shall not be liable for or suffer any consequential damages for proprietary information not properly identified. Proprietary information will be safeguarded in accordance with the applicable Government regulations. Please submit information to include: 1) Your firm's DUNS number & CAGE code; 2) Your firm's SBA certified small business concern status. Specifically identify if your firm is HUBZone-certified, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, or SBA 8(a) program certified; and 3) A brief description of your firm's recent past experience (within past 7 years) performing operations, maintenance and technical support of a similar magnitude to the work required.
