- RECOVERY - PER FAR 5.7 THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY; THEREFORE FAR 5.203 DOES NOT APPLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTOR(S) UNDER THE CURRENT CONTRACT NUMBER(S): N/A The purpose of this special notice is to inform the public of the following: 1) As a result of an agency protest a forthcoming amendment will incorporate the possibility of utilizing all other soil mixing methods with the exception of jetting the soil with fluid and any type of open trench method. 2) USACE intends to issue a draft version of the forthcoming amendment Monday, 28 June 2010 for industry review and/or comment. 3) A pre-proposal conference will be held Wednesday, 30 June 2010 at 1325 J Street, Sacramento CA in room 1424 to hold a technical discussion in an open forum. 3) The final amendment is anticipated to be posted on or about 7 July 2010. 4) The bid due date will be extended 20 calendar days after the amendment is issued.
