- Question(s) 11 ALL question(s) shall be forwarded via email to the Contracting Officer listed within this RFP (Request for Proposal) seven (7) calendar days before the closing date of this RFP. Traudel_haney@nps.gov __________________________________________________________________ QUESTION: 11. Could you please address the following question relating to the subject solicitation for archaeological services: Solicitation part B.3(c) states "The total amounts shown for contract line items 0001CA, 0002CA, 0003CA, 0004CA, and 0005CA are the estimated total costs of travel expenses for each contract period." Those line item amounts are blank on the Schedule B.6 provided with the solicitation, nor do we find them mentioned elsewhere in the solicitation documents. Can the government provide actual estimates for use in our costing? Alternately, can you provide guidelines on how travel costs should be estimated? ANSWER11. Please reference the most recent GSA Travel Per Diem Rates for information concerning government rates. The government does not pay excess of what would be considered normal travel rates for governmental employees. Please cut / paste in your web browser for referencing http://www.gsa.gov/.
