- RECOVERY-Asbestos Removal Project #570-09-144 Department of Veterans Affairs Network 21 Consolidated Contracting will be issuing a Request for Proposal for a General Construction Contractor for the project to Remove Asbestos at the VA Central California Health Care System located at 2615 E. Clinton Ave., Fresno, California. Work shall include the removal of asbestos containing pipe insulation, the removal of selected non asbestos containing pipe insulation, and the installation of new insulation. Work is to be completed within 300 days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. This Request for Proposal will be a total Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set-Aside. Offers will only be accepted from qualified SDVO Small Businesses. This is an amended Pre-Solicitation announcement only. Solicitation documents will be available on or about June 18, 2010. The solicitation will contain proposal instructions. A Pre-Proposal Conference and Project Site Visit is tentatively scheduled for June 25, 2010 at the Fresno facility from 1:00pm - 3:00pm. Exact location will be published in the solicitation. This conference is highly recommended. Estimated project cost is between $2,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00.
