- The U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command Acquisition Center intends to modify Firm Fixed Priced contract W91CRB-09-D-0061 to Northrop Grumman, Guidance and Electronics, Laser Systems Division(NGLS), Apopka, Florida for the procurement of 1238 Lightweight Laser Designator Rangefinder (LLDR) improved high accuracy Target Locator Modules (TLMs), non-recurring engineering, and the initial parts lay-in associated with the procurement. NGLS is the developer and the only source that can meet the Governments requirement without duplication of development, testing and manufacturing facility cost. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. No RFP will be issued for this modification. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement, no later than 12:00 am EST, 1 July 2010. All information submitted should support the offerors capability to provide the services required, and shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. Responses must be in writing and must provide clear and concise documentation indicating an offerors bona fide capability to provide these services. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. Responses may be submitted via email if the total file size is less than 5MB. Otherwise, responses must be submitted via hard copy to: US Army RDECOM, (Watkins), 4118 Susquehanna Ave., APG, MD 21005.
