- Description
- This project consists of fabricating two (2) new steel work barges. One new steel work barge for Lock and Dam 16. One new steel work barge for Lock and Dam 18, RT. 1, Box 205, Gladstone, IL 61437-9801. A work barge is used as a working platform to perform maintenance and inspections of lock and dam facilities. The dimensions of the vessel shall be 38 feet long by 14 feet wide by 3 feet deep. The stern of the vessel shall also include a transom for mounting an outboard motor to power the vessel. The barge shall be well-balanced, water tight, and be suitable for use on the Upper Mississippi River.
