- Red River Army Depot has a requirement for the following Safety Apparel Supplies: Qty 1500* Flame Resistant Painters Coveralls (Universal Proban/FR-7A (801-6)) Qty 293* Flame & Acid Retardant Coveralls (Universal Nomex IIIA, Style CNB6NV) Qty 3096* Industrial Coveralls Postman Blue (Universal Style CT10) Qty 2100* Industrial Coveralls Chocolate Brown (Universal Style CT10) Qty 570 * Boiler Coveralls (Universal, Buther Wear 5920) Qty 245* Welders Coveralls (Bulwark, CEH2NV) Qty 210* Welder Jackets (Universal,Proban/FR-7A) Qty 240* Shop Coats (Universal, Proban 1700/KT30) Qty 600* Aprons Chemical (Chemical Grainger Mfr.Model 4T299A) Qty 1200* Aprons Denim (Grainger Condor Mfr.Model 1N874A) Qty 785* Insulated Coveralls (Walls Industries) Qty 1840* Crushable Caps (Kromer Krushers,Style K) ITEMS CAN BE BID AS BRAND NAME OR EQUIVALENT.Individual characteristics,and sizes,are listed with each line item and WILL BE AVAILABLE IN THE SOLCIITATION.Sizes will be provided per Industry Standard. This solicitation will result in a requirements type contract,and no more than 2 awards will result.Contract period will be 12 months with no guaranteed minimum or maximum quantities.The Berry Amendment requires U.S.Department of Defense (DoD) to buy certain products-judged essential to our military readiness-with 100% U.S. content and labor.These products include clothing,and other textile items,specialty steel,and food.In addition,certain other Buy-American provisions apply to DoD.Cloth items are to be made from pre-shrunk material.Items will be worn over clothing. Contractor shall provide descriptive material that clearly describes physical and functional characteristics of the brand name item that must meet or equal to be acceptable for award. This is a 100% Small Business Set Aside (less than 500 employees). NAICS Code: 315999.The award will be made on or about 7 September 2010. No funds will be obligated by the award of the resultant contract, but will be obligated by the issuance of delivery orders.Delivery is required within 14 days after receipt of the delivery order.Firms downloading the solicitation are asked to check the web site to ensure notification of any future amendments. Any contract awarded as a result of this solicitation will be a DO rated order certified for national defense use under the Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS) (15 CFR 700), and the Contractor will be required to follow all of the requirements of this regulation. Request for quote will issue on or about 6 July 2010 and will be available on the RRAD website:https://www.redriver.army.mil. The solicitation will close on or about 6 August 2010.
