- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE (not a pre-solicitation notice pursuant to FAR Part 5) to determine the capability of potential sources and the availability of commercial sources pursuant to FAR Part 10. from the USPFO for Colorado on behalf of the Colorado Army National Guard, not a request for quote, proposal, or invitation for bid. No award will be made from this sources sought notice. No solicitation is available at this time. All responses will be used to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy for a future acquisition. After review of the responses to this Sources Sought notice, and if the Government still plans to proceed with the acquisition, a solicitation announcement will be published on Federal Business Opportunities. It is the potential offeror's responsibility to monitor this site for a future synopsis/solicitation, as they will not be notified. The USPFO for Colorado Contracting Office is seeking business concerns that can provide assembly repair parts that are 1)proprietary to Caterpillar, 2)meet Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications, but not 'aftermarket' in origin, and 3)apply to the following Caterpillar equipment assemblies: 621B Scraper, Engine Assembly 5R6706 arrangement 130G Road Grader, Transmission Assembly 5R6192 arrangement 621B Scraper, Transmission Assembly 7G2780 arrangement 130G Road Grader, Engine Assembly 5R7277 arrangement D7G Dozer, Engine Assembly 5R7814 arrangement DV100 Dozer, Engine Assembly 128-7367 arrangement Quantities, funded amounts, period of performance, frequency of orders, and acceptable point(s) of delivery/acceptance will be specified in any associated, future solicitation for quote, proposal or invitation for bid posted to Federal Business Opportunities. The applicable NAICS Code is 811310 (Commercial and Industrial machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) repair and maintenance. size standard of $7 million. Any interested firm capable of providing these services is requested to respond via e-mail to: carlos.castillo1 @us.army.mil no later than 12:00 p.m., 21 June 2010 with the following documentation: Name of Company and Address, Point of Contact and Phone number, business size (small, veteran-owned small business, service-disable small business, HUBZone, 8(a), Small Disadvantaged business, woman owned or large business) In addition, past performance information and a capability statement shall be submitted. Past performance information shall include recent and relevant contracts for the same or similar items and other references (including contract numbers, points of contact with telephone numbers and other relevant information). Offeror shall furnish this information for at least three (3) contracts, ongoing or completed within the last three years, for like or similar services, held with the National Guard, other Government agencies or private industry. Competition and set-aside decisions may be based on the results of this market research. Interested parties must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) as prescribed in FAR Clause 52.232-33. CCR can be obtained by accessing the Internet at www.ccr.gov or by calling 1-888-227-2423. This notice is for market research purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Quote or Request for Proposal; and, it is not considered to be a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited: no basis for claim against the Government shall arise as a result from a response to this Sources Sought or Government use of any information provided.
