- This is a notice of intent to place an order with G Gedney Godwin Incorporated on a sole source basis for Gold and Silver American Officer Epaulets, American Officer Shoulder Carriages with Buckles, American Private Bayonet Shoulder Carriages with Buckles, Leather Cartridge Boxes, Scabbards, Spontoons, and American Officer Swords. All requested items are unique, rare, and difficult to replicate. No award will be made solely on the basis of this notice since a synopsis of intent to place an order cannot be considered a request for proposals/offers-- Responses to this notice will be used to determine whether bondafide competition exists and whether a request for quote is appropriate. No solicitation/quote documents exists and no telephone inquires will be accepted--written responses, if applicable, prices and technical data sufficient to determine capability to meet the requirement, must be received by this office within 3 calendar days after this notice -- If no affirmative responses are received within this time to determine that a comparable source more advantageous to the Government is available, an order will be placed with the above named vendor. A request for quote will not be considered an affirmative response. Any responses to this notice of contract action shall be submitted to shirley.thompson5@us.army.mil, no later than Thursday, June 17, 2010 at 02:00PM EST. (NAICS) code is 315211.
