- This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS / SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation issued as Request for Quotation (RFQ) Q1573100055. A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. FAR clauses and provisions enclosed within this RFQ are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-39 and are available in full text through Internet access at http:// www.acquisition.gov/far/. The National Park Service encourages the participation of small, disadvantaged and women owned business enterprises. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 327320 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. QUOTES ARE DUE for this combined synopsis/solicitation on June 21, 2010 Mountain Daylight time and shall be delivered by the specified time to the National Park Service, Big Horn Canyon National Recreation Area, 20 Highway 14A East, Lovell, WY 82431, ATTN Andrea Brew. Faxed quotes are preferred with all required documentation; no oral quotations will be accepted. Quoters must furnish the company name, DUNS number, address, phone and fax number, email address if available, and official point of contact. All Quotes must be signed by authorized company official and faxed to 307-548-7826 or emailed to andrea_brew@nps.gov. All questions regarding this solicitation should be faxed or emailed to andrea_brew@nps.gov. Yellowstone National Park requires Ready Mix Concrete. Quoted price should include delivery to Yellowstone National Park WY, 82190. Delivery needed no later than July 7, 2010. The following is a description of the requirements: Pre Mixed Concrete: Provide pre-mixed concrete meeting the following requirements: 1. Pre mix structural concrete shall provide 500 cubic feet of cast in place concrete. 2. Concrete shall be able to be used in applications of up to 24 inches thick. 3. Pre mixed concrete packaged in individual bags weighing no less than 50 pounds and no more than 80 pounds. 4. Compressive Strength greater than 5000 psi (ASTM C109) @28 days 5. Rapid Chloride Permeability greater than or equal to 2000 coulombs @ 28 Days (ASTM 1202) 6. Freeze Thaw Resistance less than or equal to 97% R.D.M. @ 300 Cycles (ASTM C 666) 7. Minimum Working Time of 60 minutes 8. Premix concrete to be packaged and delivered on pallets with total weight of each loaded pallet not exceeding 2000 pounds. 9. Price includes FOB to Yellowstone National Park. Drop off location of products is 9 miles east of the park headquarters in Mammoth Hot Springs Wyoming.
