- June 14, 2010 To Whom It May Concern: The Program Management Office Light Armored Vehicles (PM-LAV) is issuing this Sources Sought Market Survey for a potential requirement for the Personnel Heater Installation Kit. Contractor responses to this market survey are for information and planning purposes only. This market survey does not constitute a request for proposal nor is it to be construed as a commitment by TACOM to purchase or pursue the materials and services offered. Responses are voluntary and no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this market survey and any follow-on information requests. Nothing contained herein should be regarded as basis upon which to seek payment, reimbursement or other consideration from the Government. TACOM is conducting market research for a potential requirement for a Personnel Heater Installation Kit. This requirement includes the following: "Heater Installation Kit shall be equipped to be installed on the Family of Light Armored Vehicles. "The Personnel Heater will provide a selectable range of heat output for the crew, ranging from 15,000 to 42,000 British Thermal Units (BTU). "The personnel heater will include: a control panel with Built-In-Testing (BIT) display and rheostat for adjusting the heat output, a water tight and corrosion resistant W-11 wiring harness, a flexible combustion chamber exhaust pipe, and a modern automatic fuel purging personnel heater with BIT This letter is not intended as a solicitation of any proposal and submissions of an unsolicited proposal based on this announcement will not be given consideration.
