- Description
- The objective of this project consist of the placement of logs and root wads by helicopter into Christy, Litte Fall Creek and a side channel of the Middle Fork Willamette River below the confluence of Buck Head Creek for the purpose of restoring and enhancing fish habitat. The Contractor shall furnish the necessary personnel, supplies, material, equipment, labor, services, transportation (except those items listed as Government-Furnished), to perform the Statement of Work/Specifications, which will be referenced in the solicitation. The anticipated period of performance is 5 calendar days from the effective date of the notice to proceed; the estimated start work date is September, 2010 (contract time is expected to be five (5) calendar days. The Government intends to issue a firm fixed price contract. Project work will be in three (3) locations on the Middle Fork Ranger District within the Willamette National Forest. The project are located as follows: Christy Creek Watershed Restoration: Christy Grass project area is located by traveling east from the Middle Fork Ranger District office on Hemlock Rd. /FS Rte19 to the Jct. of Rd 19 and 1926 Travel on Rd. 1926 for 2 miles to the Jct. of 1926 and 1927 continue on 1926 for approximately 1/4 miles to the Jct. of 1926 Rd. and 19226-688 Rd The project site lies approximately 1/10 of a mile below the Rd. The legal location for the project is T 19 S, R 4 E section 15 and 16. Little Fall Creek Watershed Restoration: Little Fall Creek project area is located by traveling North from Lowell on Jasper Lowell Rd. for approximately 4 miles to the Jct. of Jasper Lowell and Little Fall Creek Rds. Go West on Little Fall Creek Rd. for approximately eleven miles to the project area. The legal location for the project area is T 18 S. R 2 E. Sec. 4, 5, 7, 8. Buck Head Middle Fork Stream Restoration: The project area is located by traveling east from the Middle Fork Ranger District Office on Hemlock Rd. for approximately ¾ mile to the Jct. of Hemlock Rd. and the 5821 Rd. Continue on the 5821 Rd. for approximately 2 miles to the entrance of the Buck Head Nature Trail. From the parking area travel on the trail to the project area located just off the trail on a side channel of the Middle Fork Willamette River. The legal location for the project is T 21 S. R 2 E Sec. 1. Note: prospective awardee shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) data base prior to award.
