- Description
- The purpose of this posting is to issue a Pre-solicitation Notice for the Local National Worksite Physician acquisition for Incirlik Airbase, Turkey. DUE TO ARTICLE VI OF SUPPLEMENTARY AGREEMENT 3 TO THE DEFENSE AND ECONOMIC COOPERATION AGREEMENT (1980) BETWEEN THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT AND THE GOVERNMENT OF TURKEY, THE UNITED STATES AIR FORCE INTENDS TO AWARD THIS FUNDED REQUIREMENT TO A BUSINESS CONCERN WITHIN THE COUNTRY OF TURKEY. THEREFORE, PROPOSALS FROM BUSINESS CONCERNS OUTSIDE OF TURKEY WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. The United States Government is establishing a Workplace Health and Safety Unit. The United States is providing a facility and equipment and is seeking a contractor to provide the Worksite Physician and all support staff and supplies required to comply with Article 81 of the Labor Law and Article 18 of Regulation #25318 on Worksite Health Unit and Duties, Working Procedures and Principles of the Physician as well as Article 30 of Regulation #27320 on Worksite Health and Safety Units and Joint Health Units and its updates. The following planned milestones for this acquisition that are not firm and are subject to change: on or about 25 June 2010 - Issue Request for Proposal (RFP), 6 July 2010 - Site Visit / Pre-Proposal Conference, 9 July 2010 - Proposal due date, 19 July 2010 - Contract Award, 01 August 2010 - Contract Performance Start Date. Firm dates (regarding site visit / pre-proposal conference and proposal due date) will be given in the RFP once issued. The contract performance period will consist of one base year and one option year. The solicitation (RFP) will issued by posting to the Federal Business Opportunities web page (https://www.fbo.gov) under FA5685-10-Q-0025. No paper solicitations will be issued. Therefore interested parties should periodically review the web page for updates. Questions regarding this acquisition should be referred to the 39th Contracting Squadron Base Support Flight by e-mail at lgcb.confirmations@incirlik.af.mil. The United States Government will only award contracts to Turkish concerns registered with the Central Contractors database at https://www.bpn.gov/ccr/default.aspx.
