- Pre-Solicitation Notice The US Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit District, is soliciting for a construction project which shall include, but not be limited to, constructing and raising approximately 11,800 linear feet of existing dikes. The required construction will establish a minimum crest elevation of +25.0 ft above LWD, a 10.0 ft crest width and 3 horizontal on 1 vertical sideslopes. In addition, modifications to two existing overflow weir structures will be required. It is estimated that approximately 185,000 to 190,000 cubic yards of existing soils within the Saginaw Bay CDF will be required to be excavated as borrow for this work. General Information: Location: Saginaw Bay, Michigan. This project is solicited as a 100% small business set-aside. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this requirement is 237990. The small business size standard for this requirement is $33.5 million in average annual receipts over the past three years. The estimated construction cost is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Contractors must be able to bond to $5,000,000. The estimated award date of the contract is 1 August 2010. The contract will have a 90 calendar day completion requirement.
