- This project is being solicited under the Air Force Straddle Bid Authority. Funds are not currently available for this project, and no award will be made until funds become available. This project will be funded with FY10 or FY11 funds. FAR clause 52.232-18, Availability of Funds will be incorporated into the solicitation. This synopsis is for the Repair of Eason Hanger, Phase 3 at Hurlburt Field, FL. The general work includes, but not limited to, the removal of existing doors and frame & provision/installation of new doors and frames. Removal of existing bird netting & provision/installation of new bird netting throughout aircraft bay. The existing hangar overhead deluge system will be removed. The existing office wet pipe risers will be replaced. A new low-level high expansion foam system serving the hangar area will be installed. The existing hangar lighting will be replaced with new high bay luminaires. The existing fire alarm control panel and radio dispatch transceiver will be replaced. Horn/strobe signaling devices and manual pull stations will be added in the hangar to comply with NFPA 72. Repainting and striping of hangar floor. This acquisition will be set aside for HUB-Zone offerors only. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 236210 with a size standard of $33.5M. This contract will be a "Price Performance Trade-Off" contract; award will be made based on the "Best Value" to the Government in accordance with FAR 15.101. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the low proposed price. Performance period is 180 calendar days. Estimated magnitude for this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Payment and performance bonds will be required within ten (10) days of contract award. The work is required in support of the 1 st Special Operations Civil Engineer Squadron. The contract will be a single award, Firm-Fixed-Price type contract. The issuance date for this solicitation is projected to be on/about 09 July 10. Prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration Database prior to award of a government contract. Offerors are further advised that failure to register in the DOD Central Registration Database will render your firm ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number. Recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award. This solicitation will be available ONLY via the Internet at the following address: http://www.fbo.gov.
