- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), NAS Patuxent River, Maryland intends to issue a Sole Source Contract to L-3 Communications Integrated Systems, (L-3), Waco, TX. This Sole Source contract is anticipated to be established as an extension until the follow-on requirement can be competed. The contract will consist of a twenty-six (26) month period of performance; estimated award Oct 2010 through Dec 2012. L-3, Waco, TX, is the contractor for the current N00019-05-D-0008 contract. Continued support includes the procurement of aircraft structural replacements and modifications (e.g., Outer Wing (OW) Installations, Center Wing Structures Replacement (CWSR), aircraft maintenance and inspections (e.g., Planned Maintenance Interval (PMI)), and supporting items (e.g., over and above labor and material, sustaining engineering, material storage, drop-in modifications and maintenance, tooling, etc.). Award is anticipated to be issued as a Firm Fixed Price Contract for these services, providing for some Cost Reimbursable Contract Line Numbers (CLINs). The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.
