- The purpose of this amendment is to 1) answer additional questions and 2) inform all potential offerors that the deadline for questions is 12:00 pm eastern time on Friday, June 11th. No more questions will be answered after this deadline. Is there some type of standard to secure the box in the trunk, (such as a fixed metal plate with screw or bolt holes)? Answer: The boxes are secured to a structural part of the vehicle by a padlock and cable or to a secure fixture such as an eyebolt. Is the offeror to supply a complete and portable securing mechanism for the lockbox in the trunk? Answer: No If so, what is the orientation of the lockbox in the trunk, (parallel or perpendicular to the bumper)? Answer: Perpendicular If the door is designed to overlap the box when closed for security, is it acceptable if the lid is wider than 20 inches (i.e.20.25 inches)? Answer: No, the total box width is to be 20 inches. The lid should fit with in that measurement. Can you tell me who the is the incumbent supplier for these boxes (for comparison purposes)? Answer: American Van Equipment Are the units currently being used being considered for renewal or are you seeking a replacement? Answer: See Revised ATTACHMENT C: Statement of Objectives. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
