- Synopsis of the proposed construction of bulkheads in the Village of Tuckahoe, NY Section 14 Streambank Protection Project The New York District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, proposed to perform construction of bulkheads in the Village of Tuckahoe, NY. This project consists of installing bulkheads in the Village of Tuckahoe, NY. The first bulkhead will run parallel to the roadway for approximately 80 linear feet, between Elm St and Main St on Yonkers Ave in Tuckahoe, NY. It will be comprised of a cantilever concrete retaining wall. The second bulkhead will run parallel to the roadway for approximately 125 linear feet, between Elm St and Main St on Yonkers Ave in Tuckahoe, NY. It will be comprised of H- piles with sheet pile lagging. Top elevation of the bulkheads is anywhere from 6ft to 15 ft. above the stream. Additional services include constructing riprap and drainage. Options include a third steel sheet pile scour protection bulkhead located at the bend of the Bronx River and Yonkers Ave in Tuckahoe, NY, a guardrail located along Yonkers Ave between Elm Street and Main Street in Tuckahoe, NY and a cast in place concrete cap located along Yonkers Ave between Elm Street and Main Street in Tuckahoe, NY. The work estimated cost range of $1,000,000-$5,000,000. Plans/Specs for this subject project would be available on/about June 25, 2010 with bid opening on/about July 28, 2010. This project is being solicited as SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. The applicable NAICS code is 237990 with a size standard of $33.5 million. Bid opening will be held at 26 Federal Plaza, New York, New York 10278 in room 1841. The media selected for the issuance of this solicitation and amendments shall solely be at the discretion of the Government; accordingly, the media utilized for this project are the Internet and CD-ROM. Paper copies of this solicitation, and amendments, if any, will not be available or issued. Interested parties may download and print the solicitation, at no charge at www.fedbizopps.gov.
