- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested via this synopsis and a written solicitation will not be issued. Requisition Number W81EWF01485135 is being issued as a request for quotes (RFQ) with intent to award as a simplified acquisition. The solicitation document and incorporated provision and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-05. This requirement is 100% set-aside for Small Businesses under NAICS Code 326199 with number of employees not exceeding 500. The US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) at Waterways Experiment Station (WES), Vicksburg, MS, Coastal Hydraulics Laboratory has a requirement for: 660 square feet of Aramid Fiber Honeycomb. The honeycomb shall contain the following: -The aerospace grade aramid fiber shall be PN2. -The size of the cell shall be 1/8 inch. -The density shall be 9 pounds per cubic foot. -The compressive strength shall be 2000 psi or greater. -The shape of the cell shall be HEX. -Fire resistant -Dielectric properties to prevent corrosion Delivery shall be no later than 7 days after receipt of award. FOB Destination. Delivery is to be made to: Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, USA. Award shall be made to the responsible offeror whose quote is determined to be Lowest Price Technically Acceptable. Please note the minimum requirements for each CLIN is based on a brand name or equal basis. FAR Provision 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. Offerors must include a completed copy of FAR Provision 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items, with its offer. FAR Clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. FAR Clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. Quotes are due 15 June 2010 by 1600 hrs (Central Time Zone) at the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), Attention: Alicia Kennedy, 3909 Halls Ferry Road, Vicksburg, MS 39180-6199.
