- The Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of Franchise Oversight (FTO), intends to negotiate a Veteran-owned small business, set-aside award (VA 101-10-RQ-0003) for technical support in the design of its Annual Report. Additionally, electronic and hard copy proofs and final copies shall be required. No travel shall be reimbursed in the performance of this contract. All planning and labor for this contract shall be performed at the contractor's site. There will be occasional meetings at the VA Franchise Oversight Office in Washington, DC. Final electronic copy shall be provided in Adobe PDF format. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability by responding to the requirement or by submitting a proposal no later than June 25, 2010 at 5:00 PM, Central. Offers may be submitted via email to robin.matteson@va.gov. The anticipated award date is July 12, 2010. The VA-FTO in Washington, DC, requires a contractor to provide graphic design services in the production of its Annual Report. All content shall be provided by FTO staff. Copies of previous annual reports can be viewed at www.va.gov/fund/reports.html. Contractor shall provide initial design concept, based on past reports and new ideas. Based on an initial draft document provided by FTO, the contractor will convert Word and Excel documents into the approved layout / format into Adobe InDesign 2.0 or latest version or Quark (latest version). After approval by FTO, contractor will provide electronic proofs, followed by final draft and proofs. Final deliverables are final version of annual report in hard copies, on CDs, in PDF files and in web-site HTML files.
