- Description
- This is a sources sought announcement to determine the interest, availability, and capability of HUBZone, 8(a) and service-disabled veteran-owned small business concerns that have an interest in submitting an offer on project JFSD200973 - Allied Support DGPS, TIGDL Antennas located at the Grand Forks AFB, ND. The project includes, but is not limited to the construction of the foundations for the DGPS and the TIGDL antennas. The foundations for the three DGPS antennas are concrete piers that will consist of an approximate 12 ft deep, 18 inch diameter concrete footing that will allow for the embedment of a 1-1/2 inch galvanized steel pipe. Fiber-reinforced polymer will be required in lieu of common steel reinforcement for the piers. The TIGDL antennas will require a 15 ft x 20 ft reinforced concrete pad (standard steel reinforcement is acceptable). A chain link fence with a double gate will be installed around the concrete pad. The DGPS and TIGDL antennas are located at different sites on base. Each of the antenna sites will require the installation of the necessary conduit to supply communications and power requirements. The period of performance is 60 days. Should a Request for Proposal be issued, the magnitude is estimated to be between $100,000 and $250,000. The resultant contract awarded from any contemplated solicitation will be a firm fixed price contract. This office is requesting that all interested and qualified HUBZone small business concerns, 8(a) contractors, and service-disabled veteran-owned small business concerns respond to this sources sought notice with a capability statement and proof of HUBZone, 8(a), or service-disabled veteran business status. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. The government will utilize the following information in determining acquisition strategy: (1) summarize how your firm is uniquely capable and qualified to handle this type of construction; (2) summarize projects completed similar to the project outlined above. (3) statement of your current business size status under the North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) 238110; small business size standard is $14 million. The resultant solicitation and award will be issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The information capability statement and data noted above must be submitted in written format by fax to 701-747-4215 or by e-mail to queen.mccartney@grandforks.af.mil and matt.sanders@grandforks.af.mil not later than 4:00 PM (CDT) on 18 June 2010. This sources sought is an advance notice for information and planning purposes only and IS NOT a solicitation. In order to receive an award from any resultant solicitation, should one be issued, the successful offeror must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). The CCR website is http:www.ccr.gov/. Also, the successful offeror must have an active Online Representation and Certification (ORCA). The ORCA website is http://orca.bpn.gov/. This source sought notice shall not be construed in any manner to be an obligation to issue a solicitation/contract, or result in any claim for reimbursement of costs for any effort you expend in responding to this request.
