Description
THIS SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT is part of a market survey for preliminary planning purposes only. The determination for this acquisition lies solely with the government. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Alaska District, is conducting this market research to ascertain if there are HUBZones which have the capability to design and construct approximately 48,000 gal vehicle fueling facility to replace an existing vehicle fueling facility that will be demolished as part of this project. The facility will be comprised of separate entry and exit gates allowing for a continuous one directional flow of vehicles to covered three fueling islands with six fueling pumps (2 per island); and construct a approximately 300 sq. ft. control building with an office space for one person, a unisex single user handicapped restroom, an eyewash station and an arctic entry. Windows will be provided for visual monitoring of fueling activities on Fort Richardson, AK. To be solicited using negotiated procedures on or about 1 Oct 2010. The estimated dollar magnitude of this project is anticipated to be less than $10,000,000.00. The construction period, including design, is estimated to be approximately 455 days. All interested HUBZones are encouraged to respond to this announcement no later than June 25, 2010, 4:30 PM AST, by registering as an interested vendor and submitting all requested documentation listed below to: US Army Corps of Engineers, Alaska District, ATTN: CEPOA-CT-CM (Mandel), P.O. Box 6898, Elmendorf AFB, AK 99506-0898 or via email, michelle.r.mandel@us.army.mil. Interested parties submit a capabilities package demonstrating the ability to perform work listed above. Packages should include the following information: (1) Business name and address, (2) a positive statement of your intention to submit an offer for this requirement as a prime contractor, and (3) demonstration of the firm's experience within the past five years, by listing the actual construction projects completed, provide the following: a brief description of the work performed, project title, dollar amount and which functional areas were the responsibility of subcontractors, customer's contact name and phone number for a customer knowledgeable of the work completed. Also, include attachments cataloging the firm's assets, personnel resources and financial resources that demonstrate the firm's responsibility and capability to perform the required work. Provide single and aggregate bonding limits. Responsible sources having relevant experience and the capabilities to perform the work will be considered in validating the project acquisition strategy. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220, Building and Institutional Construction, and the related small business size standard is $33.5 million.
