- This solicitation is for the evaluation and repair of NSN: 1095-01-511-0577; P/N: 6127636; NOUN: Housing, Gas Generator; DIM: 2.5" Ht. X 11"W X 2.5" Deep, 4 Lbs; MATL: Forged Stainless Steel IAW MIL-H-6875; FUNC: Generates gas pressure to operate the BRU-44 bomb ejector rack. BEQ is 60 ea. for the basic year and 60 each for the first option year, 40 each for the second option year, 30 each for the third option year and 20 each for the fourth option year. DEST: SW3119, Robins AFB Ga or as specified on individual order. Delivery schedule will be 30 to 65 days or as specified in the Performance Work Statement. Solicitation will be issued to Scot Inc., Cage Code 93455, 2525 Curtis St., Downers Grove, Il 60515. Solicitation will be uploaded to www.fedbizopps.gov web site only on or about 22 June 2010 with a response date on or about 22 July 2010. Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1). Supplies or services required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible sources and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency needs. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. All potential offerors should contact the buyer/PCO identified above for additional information and or to communicate concerns, if any, concerning this acquisition. If your concerns are not satisfied by the contacting officer, an Ombudsman has been appointed to hear serious concerns that are not resolved through established channels. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate serious contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals in the source selection process.
