- Description
- As the result of this Request for Quote (RFQ), the BLM intends to award a single firm fixed price contract for the construction of 8 fences totaling approximately 6.1 miles of new fence with appurtenances and drainage crossings. The contract also includes the removal of approximately 5.6 miles of old fence. Half of the fence removal will have new fence constructed in the same location. The salvageable material becomes the property of the contractor. All fencing debris shall be removed from site and disposed of in a legal manner. Project location is Blaine County Montana. The Schedule of Items includes:1) Barbed wire Fence, 4- wire; 1953 Rods2) Barbed Wire End Panel, Type II; 28 Each3) Barbed Wire Stress Panel; 17 Each4) 3-Post Barbed Wire Corner Panel; 7 Each5) 5-Post Barbed Wire Corner Panel, Type II; 11 Each6) Barbed Wire Gate, 4-wire; 15 Each7) Drainage Crossing, Type A-Modified; 20 Rods8) Fence Removal; 1806 Rods The Period of Performance is 66 days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The work is to start approximately August 2, 2010. Estimated price range is between $25,000 and $100,000. 100% payment protection is required for construction contracts awarded above $30,000. Payment protection will be due 10 days after notice of award. Offers will be accepted from all responsive and responsible large and small business concerns. Prospective contractors are required to be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA). Both self-registration sites can be found at www.bpn.gov.
