- Description
- The 56th Contracting Squadron, Luke Air Force Base, AZ intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for acquisition to design-build renovation of buildings 461 and 500 at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona. The contractor shall manage and perform D-B construction work as defined in this task order, to include completion of working drawings, permitting, construction, construction management, scheduling, inspection and testing, maintaining construction facilities and temporary controls, environmental protection, quality control, construction quality control, and project closeout. Upon award, the contractor shall perform a 10% investigatory study to set forth the customer requirements and to confirm or deny requirements set forth in the Statement of Objectives, on Luke AFB. The magnitude of this project, expressed in dollars, is estimated between $1M and $5M. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) number for this effort is 236220 and the Small Business Size Standard is $33,500,000.00. It is anticipated that a firm-fixed price contract will be awarded to a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). The Government intends to issue a single solicitation and make a single award to one offeror. The Government is soliciting for the award of a Firm-Fixed Price contract. The solicitation will be issued on or about 16 June 2010 with a 30 day proposal period. A site-walk/pre-proposal conference will be held on 23 June at 0900. It is mandatory for all offerors to attend this event. Offerors must submit any questions to Caley Cyphers at caley.cyphers@luke.af.mil by 1630 on 20 July 10. This acquisition will be a competitive SDVOSB set-aside. The solicitation and all subsequent notices and amendments will be posted on the Internet at http://fedbizops.gov. The Government will not reimburse interested parties for monies spent to provide a response to the subsequent solicitation notice.
