- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District, plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a Firm-Fixed-Price Contract at Pomme de Terre Lake, near Hermitage, MO. The Government anticipates issuing the RFP on or about 22 June 2010. In general, the Scope of Work includes the fabrication, delivery, and installation of 8 Stainless Steel Trash Racks (approx 4-5 by 10-9 each) in the lakes Intake Tower at the dam. The work in this contract requires expertise with portable cranes and rigging of large steel structures, inspection of welds by a certified weld inspector, weld fabrication to AWS D1.6/D1.6M standards using pre-qualified weld procedures, the possibility of having to qualify a weld procedure, precision machine work on both large and small components, and, if funds are available, the application of Zebra Mussel protective coatings on 3 Trash Racks. The NAICS code is 332312 with a size standard of 500 employees. This acquisition will receive funding through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA). A pre-bid site visit is not currently scheduled. Additional information regarding site visits will be available in the solicitation package. Additionally, you must complete your Online Representations and Certifications (ORCA) at the ORCA website at https://orca.bpn.gov/, and have a current VETS-100 report filed with the Department of Labor at website https://vets100.vets.dol.gov/
