- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Great Lakes Region has a requirement to provide Unarmed Guard Service at the Air Traffic Control Tower, Cleveland-Hopkins International Airport, Cleveland, Ohio. Services are to commence on or about October 1, 2010 for an initial Base Year, plus Four (4) One-Year Option Periods. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment (other than Government furnished equipment), uniforms, transportation and supervision to provide Un-armed Security Guard Services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends and ten legal holidays. Company must have at a minimum five (5) years experience in security guard services, a current Security Guard license for the State of Ohio, have an active business address and phone number for a minimum of one (1) year prior to award and have an office within a one hundred (100) mile radius of the facility located at Cleveland - Hopkins International Airport, Cleveland, Ohio. This office must be maintained during the entire life of the contract. Map Quest will be the site used to determine the distance. No Post Office Box Address will be accepted. THIS ACQUISITION IS 100% SET-ASIDE FOR COMPETITION AMONG SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOSB) ONLY. Only firms who meet the above referenced qualifications may request a Screening Information Request (SIR). Companies who meet the above requirements shall fax or e-mail their request to Dennis Shub, Netstar-1 (847) 294-8050 or e-mail: Dennis.ctr.Shub@faa.gov, on company letterhead showing the office address which shall be within the one hundred (100) mile radius of the Cleveland Ohio, Site. All other requests will not be accepted. No phone requests will be accepted. Request for the SIR's will not be accepted after June 25, 2010. The estimated procurement value for the subject project is estimated between $2,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00 for the entire contract period. The contractor awarded the contract must have an active registration in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) before award can be made. Contractors can register at www.ccr.gov NAICS Code is 561612 This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has programs to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT short Term receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
