Description
Provisions and Clauses The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USU), located in Bethesda, MD on the National Naval Medical Campus (NNMC) has a requirement for a SimMan 3G Wireless Human Patient Simulator (HPS) package, or technically comparable. The requested HPS is essential for effective training of military medical personnel in the simulated surgical OR/ICU/ER/WAVE and other clinical settings. The simulator will be used for training purposes by University Medical and Nursing students as well as residents, fellows, EMT's, Navy Corpsman, and other healthcare providers. The simulator is an ideal alternative to live patients. Competition is limited, in accordance with FAR Part 13.106-1(b), due to its wireless capability and CPR features. The wireless simulator will allow us to run scenarios in the OR and ICU, as well as conduct training in our simulation center, clinical skills, the procedural skills training laboratory, hallways and outdoors as needed. CPR is one of the leading skills observed during simulation. This simulator will allow us to measure the quality of CPR and provide real time feedback.
