- REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL Waste Management The South Bronx Job Corps Academy is soliciting bids for waste removal services at their facilities, located at 1771 Andrews Ave, Bronx, New York. The South Bronx Job Corps Academy is a federally funded employment training program that services approximately 200 residential and 100 non-residential trainees. The program is open year round and is operated by ResCare, Inc. for the United States Department of Labor. SCOPE OF WORK: •• Provide two (2), 30 cubic yard open top roll off dumpster. •• Dumpsters must be picked up every two weeks. •• There must be a 24-hour response time for all pick up and drop off of containers. •· All picks up and drop off must be between business hours of 7am to 9pm PERFORMANCE PERIOD: This agreement shall be in effect from June 1, 2010 to September 30, 2010; with a one year option renewal of this contract provided written agreement by both parties. Additional work may be requested from time to time, which shall be authorized by written change to the resultant agreement. SAFETY AND HEALTH: All work shall be accomplished in a safe and efficient manner, with minimal disruption to the operation of the Academy. The subcontractor represents, by acceptance of any resultant agreement that they are in compliance with all regulations and standards flowing from the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 (P.O. 91-596,29 USC 651 et seq.) and further that in the event hazardous materials are involved, will comply with Federal Standards No. 310 dated July 1971 to the latest change, entitled "Symbols for Packages and Containers for Hazardous Chemicals and Materials." Vendor acknowledges that by acceptance of any resultant agreement, that all work and materials used in the performance of the contract duties meet federal, state, local and OSHA regulations. PROPOSAL SUBMISSION: Interested parties should respond to the above solicitation by the COB on June 10, 2010 to be eligible for award. Please submit your proposal and all signed attachments via express mail or other traceable mailing method and reference the notice number on your envelope. Bidders are encouraged to schedule a visit to the site and become familiar with the physical layout of the facility where the services are to be provided.
