- This requirement is for a two (2) year contract in support of Air Traffic Control Product Office (PM ATC) for the Mobile Tower System (MOTS) Follow-On Production. This requirement will be solicited using other than full and open competition and negotiated on a sole source basis. This item is restricted to Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC), Cage Code 8X691, because SNC is the only source qualified to meet the MOTS requirement prior to completion of a production level drawing package. They have the sole knowledge and expertise on the system design to date as they are the researchers and developers of the first two MOTS units. The Government intends to solicit on a sole source basis in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(b)(1). No solicitation is available for issuance and this notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. See FedBizOpps Notes 22 and 26. This synopsis closes on 21 June 2010 at 12:00 noon CST. The closing date annotated is an estimated date and may be adjusted dependent upon the date of release for solicitation; however, the solicitation will not close prior to the date stated above.
