- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, 'Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements'. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received prior to 14 June 2010 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement The Request for Proposal (RFP) H94003-10-R-5613 is issued unrestricted, the applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541330, Engineering Services. The small business size standard is $4.5M. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-41 (13 May 2010). This requirement is for service and maintenance on the SIRION XL30I Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and the NOVA 600 Focused Ion Beam (FIB). The place of performance and delivery is Defense Microelectronics Activity (DMEA), 4234 54th Street, McClellan, CA 95652. This contract will include one basic year with 2 option years of service and maintenance.
