- Nuclear Instrumentation Module Spectroscopy Equipment: The solicitation number is FA8601-10-T-¬¬¬¬0215____. The NAICS Code is 334516. The size standard is 500. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii). The proposed source is Ametek, Advanced Measurement Technology, Inc., Oak Ridge, TN. The purpose of the procurement is as follows: To replace and augment equipment that is already incorporated into an in-house detection system used during an instrumentation teaching lab. Ametek, Advanced Measurement Technology is the only known source that can provide the spectroscopy equipment for the existing spectroscopy analysis hardware setup. This nuclear instrumentation modular specroscopy is the only known equipment that's compatible with existing Ametek Manufactured hardware equipment and software currently used in our laboratory classroom without additional modifications or cost. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, any quotation received within ten (10) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
