- The subject requirement is for the acquisition of 39 NSNs with various item descriptions. The FSCs of this requirement are 1095 and 1005. An Indefinite Quantity Long-Term Contract with a base year and 4 option years is anticipated. Items will be shipped to various destinations within conus. FOB destination is required; inspection/acceptance for each item will be identified in the solicitation. This solicitation will be available on the Internet at https://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil/rfp after the issue date of 6/17/2010. Hard copies of this solicitation are not available. This solicitation is 100% set-aside for small business. The small business size standard is 500 employees. Technical drawings/bid sets are available after the same issue date on the Internet at https://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil/ While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, past performance, delivery, surge, and MBA. The proposed procurement contains an option to extend the contract period one or more times at the discretion of the Government. Total duration shall not exceed five years. Based on market research the items are manufactured for military use only and are not commercial; therefore, the Government is not using the policies contained in FAR Part 12 in its solicitation for these items. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government’s requirement with a commercial item with 15 days of this notice.
