- RECOVERY: TEEPE CREEK BRIDGE RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT. THIS CONTRACTING ACTION IS BEING OFFERED UNDER THE “AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT” (ARRA). The Forest Service has a requirement to replace an existing timber bridge with a pre-cast, pre-stressed concrete slab bridge set on pre-cast concrete abutments. The services required are for furnishing all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, operating supplies, and any incidentals necessary to complete the project. No pre-quote site visit will be conducted but Offerors are encouraged to visit the site. Offerors are also encouraged to review Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) provision 52.236-3, Site Investigation and Conditions Affecting the Work (Apr 1984). Failure of the Contractor to ascertain the nature, location, and conditions which affect the work will not relieve the contractor from the responsibility for successfully performing the work without additional expense to the Government. The project is located on the Glacier view Ranger district of the Flathead National Forest, Flathead County, Montana. From junction of MT Hwy 40 & US Hwy No. 2 heading East for approx 2.7 miles thru Columbia Falls, MT. & turning right onto Nucleus Ave (State Hwy 486) head North 45 miles. State Hwy 486 from Nucleus Ave, turn slight right onto Railroad Street & becomes the North Fork Road, turn right at the Ford River Access Road to the crossing of Teepee Creek less than 0.1 miles. The project cost estimate is between $100,000 and $250,000. It is anticipated that the notice to proceed for the winning Offeror is anticipated to be issued on or about 15 Aug 2010. All responsible sources may submit a quote which will be considered by the Government. In accordance with FAR 4.1102(a). It is required that all contractor’s be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award under this Solicitation. See Clause: FAR 52.204-7 – CENTRAL CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION (CCR) for detail on how to apply or by calling 888-227-2423 or via the Internet at: http://www.ccr.gov//. Lack of registration in the CCR on part of the offeror will render a bid ineligible for award. The NAICS code is 237310, This Solicitation is posted as a HUB-Zone set-aside, with a business size standard of $33.5 Million in gross annual receipts. The Solicitation package is anticipated to be available electronically on or about 17 June, 2010 with an anticipated closing date of 16 July 2010. Copies of the Solicitation package, specifications and or drawings can be obtained at http://www.fedbizopps.gov once available for issuance. ARRA Requirement: The Awardee will be subject to Section 1512(c) of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act which requires each contractor to report on its use of Recovery Funds under the awarded contract.
