Description
The 56th Contracting Squadron, Luke Air Force Base, AZ intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for acquisition of Design-Build Airfield Pavement Repair at Luke AFB, AZ. The principal work is to repair airfield pavement repair for Warm-up Pads/Hammerheads on Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, and Juliet taxiways on Luke AFB. The magnitude of this project, expressed in dollars, is estimated between $5M and $10M. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) number for this effort is 237310 and the Small Business Size Standard is $33,500,000.00. It is anticipated that a firm-fixed price contract will be awarded. The Government intends to issue a single solicitation and make a single award to one offeror. The Government is soliciting for the award of a Firm-Fixed Price contract. The solicitation will be issued on or about 12 June 2010 with a 30 day proposal period. A site-walk/pre-proposal conference will be held on 24 June at 0900. It is mandatory for all offerors to attend this event. Offerors must give notification of attendace and submit any questions to Eric Hinsch at eric.hinsch@luke.af.mil by 1630 on 21 Jun 10. This acquisition will be a competitive 8(a) reserved ONLY for 8(a) certified contractors in Arizona. The source selection will be conducted utilizing Performance Price Tradeoff (PPT) techniques in accordance with AFFARS 5315.101-1. In using the best value approach, the Government seeks to award to an offeror who gives the Air Force the greatest confidence that it will meet the requirements affordably. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation and all subsequent notices and amendments will be posted on the Internet at http://fedbizops.gov. The Government will not reimburse any interested parties for monies spent to provide a response to the subsequent solicitation notice.
