Description
The US Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, intends to procure this requirement on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or service will satisfy agency requirements. The US Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, intends to enter into a firm, fixed-price contract with Walter Payton Power Equipment LLC. This contract is for inspection by a qualified Service Department of a Manitowoc 36 Foot Ringer (350 Ton), and model 3900 (100 Ton) crane; and also Grove model RT 875 (75 Ton) and model AT 420 (20 Ton) cranes, work will be performed on derrick barges on the Mississippi River. Walter Payton Power Equipment LLC is the local dealer for Manitowoc cranes. The NAICS code for this procurement is 811310 which is Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and Maintenance which has a small business size standard of $7.0 Million. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES and no solicitation will be issued; however, any small-business firm that believes it can meet the requirement may give written notification to the Contracting Officer. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement listed. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Questions should be directed to Anne M.
