- The U.S. Army, Army Contracting Command (ACC) Joint Munitions & Lethality(JM&L) Contracting Center, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000, on behalf of Benet Laboratories, Watervliet, NY is conducting market research to locate capable firms able to provide the U.S. Government with a laser triangulation system. The requirements for a laser triangulation system for distance measurements at long range are as follows: 1.The sensors shall have a 2um resolution at a 1m standoff distance. 2.The sensors shall have a sampling rate of 50 kHz. 3.The system shall include a 20m cable for each sensor. 4.The system shall contain a control unit and separate display panel. 5.The separation between the panel and unit shall be 3m. 6.The unit shall be able to transfer data to a standard oscilloscope. 7.A power supply shall be provided. 8.A one (1) year manufacturer warranty. The supplier shall provide two sensors, one for measuring the projectile movement and one for measuring the cannon movement. A Certificate of Calibration for the sensors shall be provided. All responding sources are invited to indicate their interests and capabilities by providing specifications, brochures, manuals and any pertinent information in hard copy or via email at no cost or obligation to the Government; information provided will not be returned. The Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this notice. Responses shall also indicate the size of the business entity; large or small and a copy of the most recent Online Representations & Certifications Application (ORCA). Please provide the name of your company, address, POC, phone/fax number and email address. TELEPHONE INQUIRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. The Government will accept written questions by email. Interested companies are encouraged to submit their capabilities/qualification data NO LATER THAN JUNE 4, 2010. This is a sources sought notice only and should not be construed as a Request for Proposal (RFP)/Request for Quote (RFQ) or a commitment by the U.S. Government. The Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this survey.
